Life doesn't treat everyone as an equal and for some life is just one challenge after another.
  • Do you want to work in an area helping some of New Zealand's most vulnerable individuals?
  • Are you resilient, deadline focused with a high level of attention to detail?
Do you enjoy being part of a dynamic and supportive environment
ACC’s vision is to create a unique partnership with every New Zealander, improving their quality of life by minimising the incidence and impact of injury.
At ACC we've been reflecting on the way we work, what we deliver and how to make it easy for our customers. We achieve all this by putting the customer first and this reflects the new and exciting phase we are entering.
The Sensitive Claims Unit manages claims resulting from sexual violence or abuse. This is an integral role within our unit where you will be acting as the facilitator between the client, treatment provider, supplier and other agencies.
In your role, you will partner with clients on their path to recovery This involves having active conversations with clients and providers, as well as reviewing
medical information and provider reports. Through these interactions you will identify the client's specific needs and preferences and match these with the entitlements and services funded by ACC or other contracted agencies. You will either approve clinical recommendations or provide constructive and appropriate feedback to providers and clients on the options available to them. This will assist them to make informed choices while you proactively manage their expectations.
Sensitive claims can often be complicated and take some time to work through. For this reason your ability to prioritise, proactively manage your time,
analytically review key information and use your judgement, within established guidelines, will be critical.
As part of the role you will be exposed to challenging information. ACC recognises this and as such, provides a supportive and collaborative culture as well as access to a variety of formal and informal support mechanisms, including training and professional supervision.
By ensuring that our client's claims are processed efficiently, you will be playing a key role in facilitating their progress and recovery.
If you want to do something challenging and rewarding, that makes a huge difference in the lives of New Zealanders, we'd love to talk to you!
