What’s in it for you

This role is about delivering best-practice media engagement to continue to build our reputation with the public, media and other stakeholders.

Our approach is through proactive and multi-channel engagement on stories and media issues that matter. You’ll be working with people across the organisation to manage media issues and to develop proactive stories.

The great news is there’s no shortage of amazing stories to share. ACC’s work ranges from helping injured people get back on their feet, to funding swimming lessons to prevent young kids from drowning. We support programmes to keep women and children free from violence in their own homes, and fund rescue helicopters across the country to get people to medical care quickly. We help over 14,000 people every day.

You’ll be part of talented media team of four, where there is no end of support and guidance while having a few laughs along the way.

What we want from you to be successful in this role:

  • Ability to deliver best-practice media engagement and experience in taking a multi-channel approach utilising imagery, video, words, interactive and data in storytelling.
  • An ability to simplify complex issues with ease
  • Experience managing reactive media queries at a high-profile organisation
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills.
  • Plenty of energy and a desire to innovate.

There’s plenty of scope to add value, and when it comes to career opportunities at ACC, the world is your oyster.
