We’ve got a contract opportunity in our team for a smart, humble, and results focused Senior Communications and Engagement Advisor, to help us roll out a large technology project to our Health Providers.

Our purpose at ACC is to improve lives every day. It’s to put our customers first, show them manaakitanga and support their wellbeing. It’s to enable everyone in Aotearoa the freedom to live their lives knowing that if they need us, we’ll be there.

But we don’t do this alone, we have a network of 27,000 Health Providers who deliver exceptional care for our clients. And it’s time for us to upgrade they technology these Providers use to interact with us.

In this contract, your role will be to work with team who are rolling out this digital solution creating a strong engagement strategy to ensure its success.

You’ll be a strong operator in all areas of communications and engagement. We’re looking for someone who can come in and hit the ground running. Look at what we’re trying to achieve and craft the strategy to get us there. When it comes to executing the work, you will have the support of the broader team. However, you will also be motivated and energised by rolling-up your own sleeves and getting stuck into the doing.


We’re looking for someone with a proven track record of delivering significant projects and making sure their work has the customer at its heart. In this contract role you will:

  • Manage the design, development and delivery of engagement strategies, plans and initiatives to ensure a successful roll out.
  • Partner with senior leaders and other stakeholders across the business to understand the projects engagement needs; identify issues and implications for customers and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure engagement strategies, plans and initiatives contribute to the improvement of the customer experience; are consistent with relevant ACC strategies and our visual identity and help to build trust and confidence.
  • Work with other teams to monitor stakeholder feedback, and gain customer insights. Apply findings to enhance and continuously improve our engagement initiatives.
  • Protect and enhance ACC’s brand, and ensure guidelines are applied appropriately and consistently.
  • Brief suppliers and manage delivery through suppliers as needed.
  • Work collaboratively across all ACC business units as required to develop and maintain relationships that ensure the best solutions are achieved for ACC as a whole.
