A Client Partner working with our clients who have mental injury due to sexual violence requires a range of skills that are unique. 

 
Our vision is to create a unique partnership with every New Zealander, improving their quality of life by minimising the incidence and impact of injury. 


You will partner with clients by building confidence and trust to plan support which allows for the best outcomes for your client; pivoting and being adaptable when appropriate.   Having a mindset that allows you to be agile in your engagement with clients will ensure an appropriate recovery, or adjustment to a ‘new normal’ in their life. Helping your clients progress towards their goals and outcomes relies on you partnering with them and their family/whanau, support people and providers in a holistic way – this can be achieved via phone, email or face to face where it’s beneficial. 

 

You will work closely with Psychological Services and Psychiatric Service providers.  With complex mental injury clients, you understand the importance of the very first engagement with ACC and managing the client through the most acute immediate engagement with us and will continue to manage and partner the client until their needs stabilise.  This work is challenging and requires significant personal resilience. Much of the information and reports can be confronting and it is important to balance this with effective communication and empathy to ensure the best outcomes for our clients. In this role, no two days will be the same however this role will allow you to truly to make a difference in the lives of some of ACC’s most vulnerable clients

 
What you need to be successful in this role;
  • Understanding of mental injury and client engagement through appropriate communications, engagement and building trust

  • Managing a complex workload, which incorporates empathy and trust while providing robust and appropriate well-being services

  • Experience establishing and building relationships with clients and whanau – understanding the importance diversity and inclusion through recovery

 

Proven experience in creating effective partnerships across the health sector to achieve meaningful client outcomes.
