Data Modeller -  Wellington; Permanent

  • End to end curation of ACC’s data assets

  • Management of data integrity and data exchanges with the Health sector

  • Responsible for conceptual, logical and physical data models

  • Work with wider team to improve quality and integrity of ACC’s data and recommend opportunities for the reuse of data models in new environments.

You’ll be working with business and key stakeholders within a Continuous Delivery framework to support long-term business solutions using data and information. Work with the Practice Manager and Enterprise Architecture to enable the curation and facilitate the ongoing maintenance of ACC’s enterprise data models.

Key responsibilities of the role and what you need to be successful:

  • Provide input into strategic Information Technology initiatives raised within ACC.

  • Support open data initiatives across the organisation.

  • Create, manage and maintain tools and artefacts for better management and re-use of data and information at ACC.

  • Support the creation of definitions for common business meanings, taxonomies, glossaries and meta-data to describe our information assets and work closely with the Business Intelligence, Data Technology and Architecture Teams.

  • Work with the wider team to implement data strategies, build data flows and evolve conceptual data models.

  • Support teams to create logical and physical data models with corresponding metadata guiding best practice to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy. Maintain reference (encoded) data used in the operational database while ensuring that such maintenance meets business approval and complies with ACC data sharing requirements.

  • Work with wider team to improve quality and integrity of ACC’s data and recommend opportunities for the reuse of data models in new environments.
