As a Collections Officer, you will be responsible for managing high-volume calls to support customers requiring support with payments and debts.

ACC is shifting the ways we work with our clients to deliver meaningful support and guidance to over two million people recovering from accident or injury each year.

As a Collections Officer, you will be very comfortable working in a fast-paced, data driven environment.  Ensuring our customers understand their invoices and commitment to payments is key, working with them to outline an appropriate approach to payments.  Attention to detail is key as you may have to discuss multiple aspects of the debt, focusing on debt clarification so it makes sense, and can be managed quickly. It’s essential you have customer service skills and a confident telephone manner. 

What we are looking for from you to be successful in this role:

  • Experience working in a customer service role for at least 1 year - ideally involving debt collection or credit management (but this is not essential as we can teach you)

  • Comfortable working at a fast-pace with high volumes – it can be a little overwhelming for some people

  • Great communication skills (verbal and written) and an eye for detail

  • Comfortable working with technology

  • Ability to interpret and problem solve

  • Strong time management skills and ability to organise your day in a structured manner

The indicative salary sits around $47,150 and we add an attractive 9% super contribution to your overall package as a benefit.  Ongoing learning and development will be provided so this provides an excellent opportunity to grow and develop your career at ACC – please note however that internal movement to new ACC opportunities are not explored until you have had at least 12-month in the role.  To view the position description please click  Collections Officer Position Description
