Reducing the incidence and severity of injuries is a strategic priority for ACC and one of the many ways we help to improve lives every day. ACC is increasing its investment in injury prevention and implementing an ambitious Injury Prevention Strategy. The ACC Treatment Safety - Infection Prevention Team has will be implementing the national roll out of the Peripherally IV Line ‘Know Your IV Line’ Programme and are now looking for clinical expertise to help support this.


As a senior nurse or allied health professional, you will bring passion for positive health outcomes and experience in training and delivering health programmes and packages. You will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience and understand the significance of programmes such as ours, and the importance of ensuring robust and effective training.


You will work with the Infection Prevention team assisting them in the development of audit training material to implement the ‘Know Your IV Line’ Point Prevalence audit tool and the monitoring of Phlebitis. This resource will provide organisations such as DHBs and Private Surgical hospitals with support in implementing the training modules, by training the trainers in the respective hospitals, and supporting hospital clinical auditors during the implementation of the programme.


Reporting to the Manager Treatment Safety, we are looking for three part-time contractors with the experience, expertise and energy required to support the delivery of a significant nationwide programme. The role is three days per week, there is flexibility in terms of location and days of work, travel will be required.
